This holiday season, it’s important that, as consumers, we understand the impact of our spending. Every dollar we spend is an investment, and, this year, Stay Local! is here to make sure those investments are the right ones with New Orleans Unchained!

When we spend money at farmers markets, arts markets, flea markets, with local, independent merchants and at locally-owned businesses, we keep more money invested in our communities. To help remind the masses, Stay Local! presents New Orleans Unchained! – a local spin on a national campaign called America Unchained!

On Black Friday, New Orleans Unchained! is our challenge to consumers to spend their dollars locally on November 26. By shifting consumer spending by ten percent to local merchants we can infuse the parish with an additional $60M annually, which means an additional $236M annually for the region.* It’s the perfect medicine for an ailing local economy.
