The Urban League and its banking partner, Capital One Bank has launched the “Grow Gentilly” Business Plan Competition. The program was designed to spur commercial growth in the Gentilly neighborhood. The competition is open to businesses located in Gentilly (Zip code 70122) that have been operating prior to February 12, 2011, with annual revenues of less than $1 mil.

The on-line application process is open through August 1, 2011. Six semi-finalists will be selected in September. The winner and runner up will be announced on October 12th.
