With the holidays approaching, it’s important that consumers know the power of their dollars. According to our latest study, Thinking Outside the Box: A Report of Independent Merchants and the Local Economy, by shifting a mere 10% of spending from big box chains to local merchants and suppliers, we can infuse our local economy with an additional $60 million a year – which translates to an additional $235 million per year regionally.
