Offline with The Lens
Next Thursday, from 8 a.m. ‘til 1 p.m., The Lens will flee the newsroom to set up shop in Cafe Treme for Offline with The Lens, an event in which our some of our staff members create a mobile office so that we can meet readers, listen to story ideas and suggestions, and learn about what issues are not being covered by the news media. We hope to meet existing and new readers as patrons come in for their morning fix.
We will also be signing up readers for Insight New Orleans, a project of The Lens, WWOZ, and American Public Media. Insight New Orleans is a way to directly connect people with journalists and to bring voices from the Gulf Coast into the national media. You can learn more about becoming a source here.

Offline with The Lens is part of an ongoing effort to better inform our reporting and include more voices in our coverage and is made possible thanks to the support of people like you.
