The 2012 Water Challenge is looking for innovative entrepreneurs. For the second year, the Greater New Orleans Foundation and The Idea Village want to discover and nurture up-and-coming businesses creating solutions for our water issues. A special area of focus this year are business ideas that address flooding. However, all water-related entrepreneurs are welcome to apply. Up to 8 finalists will be invited to participate in the Idea Village’s IDEAxcelerator, a 6 month business development program mentored by a team of Executives-in-Residence. The finalists will also be eligible to participate in the 2012 Water Challenge day pitch competition during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week in March for a prize of up to $50,000 in seed capital for their business.
