Eligibility
Although we support independent businesses throughout Louisiana, Stay Local! is currently limited to businesses located in the following 5 parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines. If you have a business elsewhere, we encourage you to join an existing initiative in your community, or start one if necessary. MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA FOR BUSINESSESS
- Primary place of business in the metro area parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard and Plaquemines.
- At least 51% owned by New Orleans-area residents.
- Free to make your own business decisions (for everything from logo design to products carried) without the need for approval by nonresident owners or affiliates.

Stay Local! reviews all applications and may request more information from a business for the purpose of verifying local ownership. Stay Local! reserves the right to refuse membership to any business. If you have any questions about whether your business qualifies as locally owned and independent, please contact us.
